The barracks were dug into the cliff face and connected to the neighbouring defences through tunnels, becoming part of a network of fortifications built to defend Sydney Harbour from invasion.
This old defence site’s natural and cultural history provide a range of interesting picture options against ancient sandstone backgrounds and spectacular harbour vistas.
