The History of Dark Horse Vineyard
The 7.5 acres of actual vineyard was first planted in the 1960s. The owners still harvest the grapes today and pass them on to an award-winning winemaker to produce Semillon and Chardonnay.
The Orth and Beesley families purchased Dark Horse Vineyard in early 2021 and have made this already stunning venue even more spectacular.
Dark Horse Vineyard Ceremony & Reception Spaces
On the property, you’ll discover The Stables (reception venue), the Barn House (accommodation) and the Old Cellar Door, all surrounded by manicured lawns and vineyards. These stunning indoor and outdoor spaces leave you spoilt for choice for your wedding celebrations.
The Stables are a custom-built all-weather venue that comfortably hosts up to 170 guests seated and 200 standing. It has been constructed with no expense spared, fully heated and air-conditioned with triple insulated walls for all year comfort. The luxury finishes include a beautiful 4m long marble bar framed with antler chandeliers.
The Barn House is exclusively yours over the two nights of your celebrations. The self-contained dwelling sleeps 6 and is just steps away from The Stables reception venue.
The Barn House’s classic equestrian charm feels sophisticated yet warm and welcoming. Endless beautiful backdrops for photography make it the perfect setting for pre-wedding preparations for the big day.
There are various stunning locations on the property for your ceremony. Choose from the grand barn doors, a wedding arch on the manicured lawns, under a blossoming pear tree or entwined in vines.
