The History of The Marion
The Marion is named in honour of Marion Mahony, who was Walter Burley Griffin’s creative and romantic partner. Although her contribution to the design of the city of Canberra and the lake has been overlooked, the Marion pays tribute to this amazing woman.
Opened in late 2021, this iconic lakeside venue is run by one of Australia’s premier restauranteurs and function operators, Grand Pacific Group.
