History of Establishment Precinct
The Establishment Precinct was created from the remains of George Patterson House, a former department store destroyed by fire in 1996. The building, which was originally designed as an Emporium and Warehouse for a colonial ironmonger in 1895, now stands in two separate sections as a result of the fire.
The new 9-story building, which opened in 2000, retains many of the original grand 19th century features, including statuesque pillars and high timber beams, as well as a preserved section of charred jagged walls and cast-iron columns. These dramatic elements allow visitors to the Establishment to reflect on the unique history of the building.

Sarah and Elias recently celebrated their wedding at Establishment Bar, surrounded by stunning decorations and gorgeous flowers.
The warm and inviting atmosphere of the venue, with its exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and beautiful light fixtures, created the perfect setting for their reception.
The room styling by Danna Events was luxurious and elegant and included tableware and candles in a palette of white, blush and gold. The oversized florals, featuring lush arrangements of white roses, peonies, and ranunculus, dominated the room and added a touch of romance.
Real Wedding: Talysa & Jonathan
As professional ballroom dancers, Talysa and Jonathan had one simple request: a reception space where they could dance. And Establishment Bar delivered!
When Talysa and Jonathan took the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, the guests held their breath. As the music began to play, the couple performed a mesmerizing routine, gliding across the floor, executing turns and lifts with ease, their bodies flowing seamlessly together.
As the dance came to an end, the crowd erupted in applause, knowing this special moment would be remembered for years to come.
